KASARAGOD DISTRICT VECTOR MAPPING
District Profile:- The Kasaragod district was formed in 24th May 1984 after bifurcating Kannur district consisting of Kasaragod and Kanhangad Taluks of Kannur district. The name Kasaragod is said to be derived from Kannada Word ‘Kasaragod’ means Nuxvemied forest (Kajirakuttam). At present, two Police Sub divisions viz Kasaragod and Kanhangad, Six Police Circles (Kasaragod, Kumbla, Adhur, Hosdurg, Nileshwar & Vellarikundu) and 16 Police stations, One Coastal Police Station and one Traffic Police station are functioning in this district.
